Botulinum toxin is predominantly used as a treatment to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles and fine lines.

Dynamic wrinkles are the wrinkles that appears when we show expression on our faces, while static lines are the wrinkles which is present when our faces is in a resting mode.

Dynamic lines are the best treated with botox ®, as it will relax the muscles with a softening and smoothing out effect of the wrinkle. This is evident when botox® is injected between the brows to smooth out that angry look from frowning, or the crow’s feet (laugh wrinkles around the eyes) from smiling.

4.How much does Botox® cost?

At Neowellness we charge for Botox®per unit that we inject and not per area. The reason for this simply is due to the fact that each person is treated as a unique individual and not on a basis of one area suits all. Men sometimes need 1.5 times more botox® than females do due to their larger muscle mass.

At neowellness we charge R65.00 per unit of Botulinum Toxin.

5.How long does Botox® last?

The effect differs from patient to patient as we all are unique. Improvement of the wrinkles should be seen within 72 hours after injection and the final result can only be observed 14 days later. Results last up to 4 months.

A longer lasting effect can be seen in patients with repeated Botulinum Toxin treatments.
